Sample process
Usually my freelancing works this way:
- The agency develops the project plan with the customer and identifies the part of the project done by a freelancer
- The agency checks if I'm available and sends me a detailed brief
- I send back a quote and a rough time table
- Once the budget is approved the agency sends me all material in digital form and I start working
- If necessary I present my work to the agency at pre-defined production stages
- The agency integrates my work in the project tree and presents to the customer
- I do corrections according to feedback by agency and customer
- If necessary there are further presentation/correction loops
- The final version of my work is approved by the agency
- I invoice the agency and the agency pays me - happy days! :-)
The advantage of this process is that it does not require personal meetings and can completely be done remotely over the Internet. All communication is preferably done via email through the agency's project manager. This ensures no information gets lost and misunderstandings are avoided.
