Pro and contra freelancing

Pro

• Employee on demand: Best solution for small companies with limited reserves and infrastructure
• Free management of time: Ideal for creative work, some of my best ideas I had under the shower or traveling ;-)
• Easy administration: A freelancer just means one single invoice per project, no payroll, no taxes, no insurance

Contra

• Trust: Will the freelancer make the deadline, will the employer pay on time? Special contracts are necessary.
• Delays: It takes more time to hire the right freelancer than just putting one of your staff members on the project. This extra time needs to be considered and "backup" freelancers need to be found.
